JCHS Speech and Debate, Nationals

JUNCTION CITY, KAN. – Geary County Schools USD 475 is proud to announce that seven members of Junction City High School will be attending a national competition for Speech and Debate.

In order to attend the national competition in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, students qualified in the following events.

2019 NCFL Grand National Tournament
Policy Debate:   Ethan Dozier and Trevor Provost
Congressional Debate:  Logan Bogle, Banrosy Kimpoumboudi, and Colby West
Oral Interpretation of Literature:  Curtney-Olivia Dawson
Dramatic Performance: Courtney Day

The Speech and Debate Team is currently raising money for the trip.

You can support the JCHS Forensics and Debate team in three ways:

Donating items: We will accept a variety of donations, large or small. We are happy to pick up your items if necessary.

Stopping by our event: This event is going to be at the JCHS Freshman Academy. Historically, we have filled the entire first floor, and this year we’re holding it over two days in a climate controlled building.

The event will take place on Saturday April 27, from 7:00 AM to 2 PM and Sunday April 28, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
