Assistant Special Education Director Selected

JUNCTION CITY, KAN. – Geary County Schools USD 475 announced on Monday that Courtney Eichhorn was selected and has accepted the position of Assistant Special Education Director. Eichhorn will begin on July 1, 2019, after current Assistant Director Dr. Kathryn Beougher leaves the district for retirement.

Eichhorn is currently an Instructional and Compliance Coach at Junction City High School and has served as a Special Education Teacher at both Junction City High School and Junction City Middle. Before that, she was a Special Education Teacher in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Eichhorn earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Michigan University in Special Education and Secondary Education. She received her Masters of Arts in Education from Michigan State University. Eichhorn will earn her Educational Specialist Degree from the University of Northern Colorado in May for Educational Leadership and Special Education Administration.
