JUNCTION CITY, KAN. – Geary County Schools USD 475 held a press conference on Thursday, January 10, 2019, to officially welcoming the newly selected Superintendent of Schools; Dr. Reginald Eggleston. Eggleston will begin serving the community in this position later this school semester. During the press conference, Eggleston signed a ceremonial contract and answered questions from those in attendance.
“As Superintendent for this district, I am committed to working hard for the families of the Geary County Schools community and am excited to collaborate with business partners, Fort Riley leaders, and the community as a whole as we continue to provide quality education for our children. Together, we can create significant opportunity for our students and prepare them for tomorrow’s world. To be successful at this task, it’s going to take all of us, together, with one mission. Dr. Reginald Eggleston has over twenty-four years of experience in public education and currently serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserves. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism at Troy State University, a Master’s Degree in Special Education at The University of Alabama in Birmingham, an Educational Specialist Degree in Administration at Auburn University in Montgomery, and a Doctor of Education at Nova Southeastern University. He and his wife Regina will relocate to Junction City, Kansas from Mobile, Alabama.
