This week on the connectED Show our hosts Mat and Casey discuss many of the wonderful holiday-related events that took place in USD 475 the week before winter break. These events included Lincoln Elementary School students performing holiday songs at the district office, Grandview Elementary students learning about holiday traditions from around the world, and Ware Elementary School’s transformation from a school to a winter wonderland.
Ware Elementary School doesn’t just leave lasting holiday memories with students, they also host a staff breakfast which was featured in the “Show and Tell!” section of connectED this week.
A tradition of over 30 years, once again saw the staff of Ware Elementary School come together for a warm breakfast, friendly conversation, and a Christmas ornament marking the occasion. Each year Ware office staff host a breakfast for the building and offer an ornament as a commemorative token.
The holiday spread included homemade casseroles, sweets, and breakfast staples like biscuits and gravy and cheesy hashbrowns.
This tradition is just one of the many events in the district that promote a close-knit and friendly working environment.
