Just In Case You Missed Parent Resource Night

The following article was written by USD 475 employee, Sandra Gray.

The second annual student and parent resource night was held on October 24, 2018 at Junction City High School.  There were approximately 75 organizations and individuals represented. The organizations represented consisted of financial resources, transportation, post-secondary opportunities, healthcare, leisure opportunities, service learning and community involvement, safety, and disability resources.  Resources were available for all students Pre-K through grade 12.  Many of the resources were local but other resources came from Topeka, Kansas City and the Salina area.  Source America and Global Connections to Employment traveled here from Texas to talk with parents about employment for students with disabilities.

Books, magazines, games, puzzles, educational items and free school supplies were given out to students who attended.

If parents and students could not attend, please reach out to Sandra Gray at Sandragray@usd475.org if there is a resource you are wanting more information on.
