On September 27th Milford Elementary had their first annual STEM Breakout BBQ night! It was a huge success! Milford Elementary families and community joined together with Milford staff for a BBQ meal and challenged themselves to “break out” of a BREAKOUT EDU box. Breakout boxes taught families to work together and persevere to solve the problems to break out! Families learned about migration, libraries, graphing, and many other topics in order to break the locks.
“I think all of the families I talked to had a great time and were impressed with how well their student did with the breakouts.” -Library Media Specialist, Mrs. Morris.
“It was really cool to see the parents interacting and working as a team to breakout! The teachers were very encouraging.” – Kelsey Murdoch, parent of a 3rd grader at Milford Elementary
Milford teachers, staff, and families all look forward to making this Breakout BBQ an annual event.
