On Friday, August 17, 2018, Junction City High School ended the first week of school with a Pride Assembly! This assembly was held to introduce new students to the traditions of JCHS and energize the entire Blue Jay community for an exciting new year.
Teachers participated in a scavenger hunt where they competed to find various items around the gym such as shoes, textbooks, sports coaches, and even new teachers! Staff and students went over rules, such as dress code, with a fashion show illustrating what is and is not acceptable to wear on school grounds. New students were also made aware of helpful tips such as the flag posted near the front of the school, indicating a “blue” or “white” day. Freshmen and new students also learned the history of JCHS as well as the school song.
Pride Assemblies are a great way for Blue Jays to gather together and show their pride for the school.
