SJCF Architecture has been holding meetings with JCHS staff to re-affirm design needs explored earlier in this process. There have been some notional discussions regarding impacts of the Gemini Project but no changes to the initial design needs have been made at this point. SJCF is simply collecting input from staff at this time.
SJCF will eventually prepare Phase I of a three-phase design process. Phase I will be a schematic design; i.e. a conceptual floor plan and how the building might be sited on the property.
Currently, USD 475 is planning to seek input from the community after the schematic design has been completed.
A final schematic design will be submitted to the Board of Education for approval with permission granted to SJCF to proceed to Phase II; i.e. Design Development. Phase II will provide finer detail regarding the location of needed rooms, etc. The Board of Education will then be asked to approve the Design Development and also asked to approve the creation of the actual Construction Documents (Phase III).
The Construction Documents will contain all necessary information for use by the CMAR contractor to build the facility.
