JAG Students Teach Computer Skills to Senior Citizens

Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) students, as a group, have spent three class periods planning a presentation on computer basics. The students each brought their computer and not only went through the presentation as a group but worked hands-on with the senior citizens at the 4H Center.

This is the 3rd year for the JAG-K Freshman to partner with Vickie Bobbitt from I.C.A.R.E. to give opportunities for our youth to be engaged with senior citizens in a positive interactive way. They have done two sessions at the Senior Citizens Center where it was student planned and led. They have also gone to Brookdale Senior Living twice to do interactive activities with the residents. Those activities are usually pre-planned by Vickie Bobbitt.
