Many schools at USD 475 celebrated on October 31st in a variety of ways. For example, at Sheridan Elementary each classroom had their own festivities which included treats, movies, and learning in a fun and interesting way! The library at Sheridan also used an interactive app called Quiver Vision to bring to life a virtual pumpkin patch! Students colored and drew pumpkins on paper earlier this week and when looked at through the tablet, became 3D objects. Students had a blast!
Westwood Elementary students dressed in costumes and paraded throughout the school today. There were many unique and creative costumes, including a T-Rex and a Sushi Roll. Grandview Elementary participated by having a parade as well where members of the Grandview Community Center handed out treats to the entire school. The Devin Center even had some fun today when the Kansas Kids Day Care and Preschool came to visit.
