“Egg”cellent Engineers

Lincoln Elementary fifth graders took on the Egg Drop Challenge! They were to become engineers of egg landing devices that could withstand a drop from the top of a fire truck ladder, (almost 25 feet). The fifth graders could use materials such as straws, balloons, egg cartons, yarn, tape, rubber bands, glue, bubble paper, and more. Some teams relied upon the parachute method whereas others took a more direct approach and padded the inside of a box.

One thing is clear, Lincoln Lions have “egg”cellent future engineers!
