Westwood Elementary: School in Review Celebration

On May 4, 2017, Westwood Elementary held its annual School in Review Celebration. The event began with an “Egg Drop” from a two-story high fire engine ladder. The students spent the week before hoping to construct a basket strong enough to keep their egg from breaking when Junction City Fire Department dropped it. Many of those engineering projects proved to be a success!

After the “Egg Drop”, students and their families were welcomed into the school cafeteria for hot dogs, chips, and dessert. The classrooms were open for parent surveys and for families to view student projects. Westwood Elementary also did a fantastic job showing appreciation for teachers and staff. There were various posters, cards, and thank you notes to them posted in the hallways.
