Students Shine with 78 Gold Medals

JUNCTION CITY, KAN.  – Junction City High School returned from the State Solo and Ensemble Music Festival with high marks this past weekend, building upon the momentum the school’s music talent started earlier this Spring. Of 34 JCHS events entered in the 2017 KSHSAA State Solo & Ensemble music festival held Saturday, April 29, 2017, 22 (65%) earned a 1 rating, bringing home to Junction City a total of 78 gold medals:

Vocal Performances including 3 of the 4 ensembles and 12 of the 14 soloists earn a 1 rating. The Junction City High School Band had 5 of the 9 soloists earn a 1 rating and Orchestra had 2 of the 3 soloists earn a 1 rating.
