April 2017 Paper Conservation Winners

This month USD 475 would like to recognize the schools in our district who have been responsible for the most paper conservations through the use of eFlyers with the district adopted Peachjar Service. This service reduces the amount of paper consumption and printing costs in the district as well as helps to reduce resources in an attempt to become even better stewards of our planet.

Each school was divided into categories based on school size and the total amount of pages saved was calculated by school population. The Communications Department and Geary County Schools would like to thank each and every one of our schools for participating in this program which makes it easier for families to keep up-to-date with school events.

To access your school’s Peachjar library visit the Geary County Schools Mobile App or the school website homepage and click on the Peachjar icon.

For April 2017, the schools responsible for the most paper savings are Early Childhood Center (7,552 pages), Fort Riley Elementary (16,320 pages), and Junction City Middle School (31,080 pages). Junction City High School, which includes the Freshman Success Academy and the Larry Dixon Center is in a category of their own and will be competing against themselves starting with a paper savings of 38,150 pages.
